Office Administrator

(part-time, 18hr week)

An efficient, proactive, detail-orientated, and well-organised Studio Administrator is required to join our busy studio.


This diverse role is to provide practical and administrative support to the Office Manager and the Architects. The applicant will support the team to ensure deadlines and demands are met on time and that the studio runs smoothly.


If you like the sound of working flexibly for an exciting Architecture practice located in a converted bakery and right opposite Peckham Rye Park, this may be the role for you. Our location has great transport connections and cycle parking right outside.


RDA Architects are an award-winning practice, specialising in Passivhaus and sustainable design. We are a creative, friendly bunch of people and we are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our busy practice as a studio administrator for three or four days a week. This is a varied role and no two days are alike!



Responsibilities


  • Curation of our suppliers and samples library.
  • Providing administrative support to the Office Manager with the day to day running of the office, including answering telephones, greeting visitors, filing, arranging CPD’s.
  • Providing support to the Director and Senior Architects.
  • Helping with Client presentations, including mood boards.
  • Assist in maintaining practice databases.
  • Assisting with the company PR: Newsletters, social media and website where necessary.
  • Occasional Archiving.



The Ideal Applicant Should:


  • have the ability to manage varied tasks and workload.
  • be highly organised.
  • be confident to work both independently and collaboratively within the team.
  • have excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • have excellent IT skills, including MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite (is a benefit)

  • Confident leader with excellent people management skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise both the design teams and your own internal team’s work to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communicator of complex issues; verbally, in writing, through drawings and models, to different audiences.
  • Developer of creative solutions such that the interests of different stakeholders are appropriately addressed.
  • Hand draw ideas, plans and details confidently in design discussions.
